The objective of this project was to use all of our acquired knowledge from the Technical Writer program to produce a user manual for our assigned Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) group's final-year project. These groups of EET students served as subject matter experts (SMEs) for their respective manuals.
This project was completed in a group, using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Teams (to collaborate on the Word document and to communicate/post any relevant information).
Our (my team's) EET-user manual was focused mostly on the operation and maintenance of the Automated Display System, which was the name of our EET students' final-year project.
Due to the Automated Display System having an actual stakeholder (as it was to be used in a museum), our user manual needed to be 100% accurate, clear, and effective.
Our (my team's) information development plan for the EET-user manual we created. This plan outlined the user manual details such as the objectives/deliverables, team roles and responsibilities, the intended audience and stakeholders.
